Delegating access to iApps

I've set up a few applications using iApp templates as an account with Administrator rights, but when I try and get someone with Manager access to change them, when they go to the Reconfigure tab they just get this error.

Error parsing template:Tcl_Init failed: (invalid command name "file" while executing "file join $i init.tcl" (procedure "tclInit" line 21) invoked from within "tclInit" line:46)

They also get this error if they try and create a new application from an iApp template when they select the template from the dropdown.

I'm fairly new to F5s, so is it possible for a non-Administrator to change these iApps, or have I messed something else up?

Thanks

  • Hi Ken, you didn't mess anything up. Which version of BIG-IP are you running? In versions earlier than 11.6.0, only users with the administrator role can create or edit iApps.

    thanks

11.5.1 currently but am planning on performing the 11.6.0 upgrade soon. Thanks for the information.
  • Hello, I got the same problem, but I'm using Administrator role. I'm using Big-IP 11.5.1 with no hotfixes. Thanks.

Hi Prabu, admins should be able to run all iApps. Which iApp are you deploying? I recommend opening a case with F5 support on this.
