XenApp 7.5 Deployment

Hi all, we trying to Deploy an Xenapp through F5, but regarding the below link, if XenApp running on 7.5 and/or the StoreFront running on 2.5 we need to upgrade the F5 to the engineering HotFix, so the question here, if i tried to deploy the XenApp 7.5 on current version(11.4.1 HF1), it will go fine or i'll face a problems? http://www.f5.com/pdf/deployment-guides/citrix-vdi-iapp-v1_1-dg.pdf

  • 11.4.1 HF1 is pretty old and there are a few bugs in it that relate to the Receiver clients behavior(not specific to version of Citrix backend, but rather to client's behavior). I suggest you upgrade to at least 11.4.1 HF7 before trying to deploy XenApp 7.5 with StoreFront - or, for best results, go with 11.6.0 - but please do not try to deploy it on 11.4.1 HF1 as you will likely run into problems with some Receiver clients.

thanx Michaela lot, do you recommend to go to it directly if i have to upgrade anyway?! can you give me a little hint about the problems i may face at 11.4.1 HF1 the engineering HF should solve. thanx again!

  • Going to 11.4.1 Hf7 is the safest first move. You're likely to not be able to connect using iOS Receivers with HF1.
