No outbound traffic

Hello, I have a new port 80 standard virtual server setup with pool members on port 80 on an LTM. The pool stats show only inbound traffic growing, but zero outbound bit/packets.

Unfortunately the F5 admin will not give me access to even see the configurations and even getting screenshots is difficult since he is extremely busy; hence my vagueness. Are there any specifics I can have him look into. SNAT settings, self-ip/VLAN settings? I am not too familiar with the networking side of the LTM :).

Below is the curl output when trying to hit a simple css, same works no problem when I use the web server ip.

curl -vk http://10.76.100.96/contact/css/css_panels.css

  • From what your describing there doesn't seem to be a path back to the LTM. Either a default gateway needs to be configured or snat needs to be set up. Hope this helps.
