Active/Standby configuration with different HW

Hello folks

 

We have two BIG-IP 3600 in Active/Standby mode. The standby node have some issues at this moment.

 

Until those issues are resolved we don´t want to lose the service redundancy and we have a pair of 1600 free for use.

 

Is possible/supported put one of the 1600 as standby in the configuration???

    As long as they are running the same version of code I believe there should be no problem with DSC among different devices.

      You need to be running atleast 11.4, https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/8000/600/sol8665.html

      As an add-on, whilst this is supported, if you're using Connection Mirroring this may not work. Also, I assume you know this but worth highlighting, the 1600 platform only has 4 copper interfaces, as opposed to 8 on the 3600.
