  • Are you attempting to perform SNMP polling on the management IP, or a Self IP? If it is a Self IP, what is the Port Lockdown setting on that Self IP?

What are you expecting to see on the SNMP server? Are you performing SNMP polling, or are you expecting traps? If you are expecting traps, is there a route on the BIG-IP to the SNMP server? Is port 162 opened on any firewalls along the path?

  • Hi Eric,

Thanks for your reply.. here are my updates,

1.) Are you attempting to perform SNMP polling on the management IP, or a Self IP? If it is a Self IP, what is the Port Lockdown setting on that Self IP?

To perform on Management IP and self-IP to send SNMP data to the SNMP server.

After I select the Port Lockdown setting on the self-IP as below. the settings unable to update

    .

2.) What are you expecting to see on the SNMP server? i can see the snmp show F5 device properties only. the SNMP server should be able to see the CPU performance, disk/memory utilization , device down (alert) for e.g.

3.) Are you performing SNMP polling, or are you expecting traps?

SNMP polling and traps as well.

4.) If you are expecting traps, is there a route on the BIG-IP to the SNMP server?

able to ping to the destination SNMP server

5.) Is port 162 opened on any firewalls along the path?

    Ports opened.

If you're seeing device properties then you are successfully reaching the device via SNMP. What SNMP server software are you using?
