Portal Access - Oracle EBS

I need to provide a secure connection to our hosted Financials environment. These users cannot use the Edge Clients we have configured. I setup Portal Access on my Big-IP. The hosted servers are front ended by a Big IP. If one user connects via the PA connection I set up it works as expected. If I attempt to connect a second user that user receives an error message, stating it appears they are trying to re-connect to an established session from the web server.

My question, do I need to adjust my configuration because the hosted servers are sitting behind a Big-IP?

  • Just to confirm, the error is coming from the web server? Does the webserver do any identification of user by IP address? If you are using SNAT on the APM then all the connections will have the same IP address at the webserver.

Does the web server have any logs that could help identify the issue?

  • Yes. The message is coming from the web server. I am not sure. Unfortunately its difficult to get a resource from the hosted facility. I requested logs. The Host is using a big-ip for the front end. So far I haven't found documentation as it relates to connecting via Portal Access from one BigIP to another or even if it makes a difference.
