ASM License Expiry

Hello,

 

I came across a scenario where an F5 device has LTM and ASM as enabled but the ASM license was an evaluation license. My question is what will happen if the ASM Eval license expires but I still have a valid LTM license?

 

According to SOL4679, the BIG-IP system stops processing traffic when the license expires. But what will happen is ONLY the ASM expires but LTM is still a valid license?

 

Will it stop processing traffic for ASM virtual servers? Will the ASM policies become inactive?

 

Would be nice to know. Thanks.

    Mohammad,

     

    It's a question a customer once asked me. I believe any VS which has a http class profile/LTP policy enabling ASM will stop processing traffic once ASM license expires.

     

    Don't think the policies will go inactive.
