They aren't any different than any other SFP. You pull the existing one out and put a new one in.

- Brad_ParkerCirrusNo need to halt or reboot. If the SFP is failed already, no harm no foul. If its part of a LACP trunk just for sanity sake you may disable the interface before you pull the old one and insert the new one. These are hot swap-able components. Its more of a matter do you have traffic currently flowing through it? And if so, will disabling the interface allow traffic to flow through another interface.
