I am having issues with setting up a Linerate starter license

I am trying to setup F5 Linerate 2.6.1. I have it installed on VMWare. When I try to run the "licensing" command as shown in the directions it says there is no such command. "License" shows up as a command but when I run that it asks for a license file that I don't have. I have the regkey referred to by the directions. What am I doing wrong here?

  • Hi Lee,

To make sure we are looking at the same docs for licensing, here is a link to our latest docs: Configuring Licensing: Activating a Starter Edition License

That link will detail all the steps you need to go through to get the RegKey activated. It sounds like Step 7 might be where you are getting stuck. Make sure that you are in "configure mode" in the LineRate CLI ... command "configure terminal" would get you into this mode. Let us know if you have issues with other parts of the configuration process, and if so, what step you are getting stuck on.
