    I suppose it'd very much depend on how complex and incompatible your current v10 configuration is with v11.

    Peruse the Release Notes of the version you are upgrading to - and I'd use v11.5.4 - the latest release.

    There are heaps of related posts on the topic of upgrading from v10 to v11 in this forum and they will definitely be helpful to you as so many people have done the upgrade. Just search for them.

  • It will not work. I went through a similar upgrade (10.2 --> 11.2 ---> 11.4) and I was advised by F5 to to a 2 part upgrade.

    First upgrade to 11.2 then you can jump to 11.5.3.

    There is a specific version you need to do on the 11.2 train, you would have to ask support but i dont think a direct upgrade will work. Just my opinion based on

  • Just a bit of advise, what ever you plan to upgrade, make sure you install the base version and its HF on a different partition/volume, so that you don't end up loosing everything nor be able to back out to your original 10.x.

  • I dont think there's a limit, it all depends on the space. The volumes can be created through tmsh --> create sys software create-volume.... The same goes for delete. If you have loaded up some images in some volumes, after certain set you might run out of space. From what I've seen in a normal HD, 1 - 4 partitions were easy as go.

  • Hi Yugraj As per the release notes this will be a direct upgrade, We cannot have a direct upgrade from versions earlier than 10.1.0.As per my personal experience i notice some of the configuration/irule syntax has changed and the configuration may not load. You can use the load sys config verify command to troubleshoot this issue.Make sure you have the valid service contract available before starting the upgrade.If this is in HA mode first do the activity in standby device and troubleshoot in case of any issues.Keep in mind that HA configurations format is changed in version 11and please prepare for the same before proceeding with upgrade. Please find the below release notes section which says its a direct upgrade. Upgrading from version 10.1.0 (or later) or 11.x When you upgrade from version 10.1.0 (or later) or 11.x software, you use the Software Management screens in the Configuration utility to complete these steps. To open the Software Management screens, in the navigation pane of the Configuration utility, expand System, and click Software Management. For information about using the Software Management screens, see the online help.
