performance issue while accessing oracle e-business suit application through F5

Hi,

We are facing slowness issue in oracle e-businees application while accessing through F5, application has HTTP web base front-end & a cluster of oracle on back-end. Users use to login into Application through web port 80 & from web they use to search queries & transactions which are available in oracle server. Users are facing slowness in accessing or when they search for any transaction or query. we did a test by clearing the cache from F5(pool), and it is working fine for few minutes but again users are facing slowness .

Can any body help me urgently on how to fix it .

  • Can you please check if there are any specific feature like Nagle Algorithm that you have enabled in the TCP-LAN or TCP-WAN optimized profiles ? If not, Kindly perform a packet capture between links to see where the packet drop or delay happens. You can then narrow down to the particular network component that is responsible for the late responses.

Hi , The application was working fine when we bypass F5 and accessing the service directly , we did the ping test and packet capture didnt find any drops or delay on the links , only problem users are facing performance degradation when they are accessing service through F5 and Nagle algorithm is not enabled on the profile. IS there any way to check the issue. Regards Midhun P.K
