Question about F5 Exam recertification

Hi,

i need to know if i let's say have 301,302,304 F5 exams passed, should i need to recertify every one of those every 2 years or do i need to to pass just the most recent one and then all the other ones will update to 2 years expiration?

Thank you in advance, Zach

  • Just one exam of your choice has to be retaken every 2 years. When passed, all certifications will be renewed. If you're interested in F5 certification and related discussions, I recommend this LinkedIn group: https://www.linkedin.com/groups/85832

  • Unfortunately the previous answer is not correct, unless you consider the technicality of what you are asking to be certified in. Any one 300 Level exam will make you an F5-CTS, but re-certifying one specialty will not re-certify the other specialties.

I just double checked my actual status on the new F5 certification tracking site: https://www.certmetrics.com/f5certified/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2ff5certified%2f

Looking at my tracking site just after passing my F5-DNS my lower level certifications 100/200 (F5-CA) were extended, but none of my same-level 300 F5-CTS certifications/exams were extended.

The only hope I can see is that once you have all 300 level F5-CTS then obtaining/renewing the 400 level (F5-CSE) will extend all the lower 300 level F5-CTS certs.

So basically means unless you get your F5-CSE within 2 years you are going to be re-taking multiple F5-CTS exams to keep all certification status in all specialties.

I second the answer by xx. For LTM CTS you will need to pass the 301b exam to renew. 301a is not necessary. To renew GTM CTS must pass the 302 exam again and also for APM must pass the 304 exam again.
