Errors in LTM

Dear Members,

 

I am getting error in logs in LTM as below.

 

Oct 26 12:01:05 LBA warning diskmonitor: 011d0006: Disk partition var_log exceeded growth limit 5% Oct 26 12:31:03 LBA warning diskmonitor: 011d0006: Disk partition var_log exceeded growth limit 5%

 

File system is follows [LBA:Standby] ~ df -h Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/mapper/vg--db--sda-set.3.root 248M 192M 44M 82% / /dev/mapper/vg--db--sda-set.3._config 3.0G 73M 2.8G 3% /config /dev/mapper/vg--db--sda-set.3._usr 1.7G 1.3G 329M 80% /usr /dev/mapper/vg--db--sda-set.3._var 3.0G 266M 2.6G 10% /var /dev/mapper/vg--db--sda-dat.share.1 30G 1.3G 27G 5% /shared /dev/mapper/vg--db--sda-dat.log.1 6.9G 4.4G 2.2G 67% /var/log

 

please suggest over this issue.

    Based on SOL8865, the logs indicate that the growth of /var/log size is higher than the configured threshold of 5%. You might want to check if there are log files that gets bigger too fast, or increase the threshold config if the log growths are expected

      Depends on what kind of logs show in the kern.log, you might want to open Support case

       

  • Log rotation is done on everyday for these Kernel logs, but still this file is consuming more space. can we increase the default disk monitor settings timer. can it help to reduce the log size.
