Where is the F5 web gui's ping, traceroute form?

I sent some traffic test like ping and traceroute from the web ui to a backend server the other day using a form in the F5 Web GUI. Today, I cannot find that tool for the life of me.

Can you tell me where the form is to use these simple network tools from the F5 Web UI?

Thanks

  • I'm getting closer. I found the support document showing the tool. But I can find it in my F5 now, and I can't see how to even enable the section that shows the tool. But I absolutely know I used this tool just the other day to ping and trace route while doing tcpdump on the command line. This document shows the tool in Wan Optimization Management, but I don't see that section now in my web ui. Argggh.

  • I guess my F5 does not have the WOM or maybe it is not in this version anymore. But to get the tool:

    1. Click "Partion" list up by the "Log out" button
    2. Choose All [Read Only]
    3. Then Click on left Acceleration -> Symmetric Optimization -> Diagnostics

Oddly, after logging in today, the tool is where I found it, but without even clicking Choose All [Read Only]. So, I think I was just blinded before. I was sort of convinced the tab to click was called Troubleshooting or Testing or some other thing and must have looked right past Diagnostics while I was hunting.

      O well.

  • I guess you need to have AAM licensed to get the Acceleration settings tab.

Acceleration -> Symmetric Optimization -> Diagnostics

Once you are licensed, it is available in all versions. Thanks
