No SNMP Response when Internal IP as Gateway

System is not able to get SNMP response (No SNMP Response) while F5 internal IP act as a gateway. Its working fine when it is in default gateway.

Default Gateway: 10.77.205.1 (Getting SNMP reponse)

Internal IP of F5: 10.77.205.105 (No SNMP Response)

  • BIGIP doesn't route traffic by default. Any traffic it receives and is not explicitly configured to handle will be dropped.

Please provide additional information on what you are trying to achieve.

  • What do u mean by additional information ?.. please let me know

  • -What is the IP address of the device you are trying to poll via SNMP? -Why are you using the F5 self IP as the gateway instead of 10.77.205.1? -What configuration related to this communication do you have on the F5 other than the self IP? (E.g.: SNAT, VIP, NAT, etc...)

  • What is the IP address of the device you are trying to poll via SNMP? F5 Big IP: 10.77.194.138 Node 1: 10.77.205.83 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 10.77.205.1 Node 2: 10.77.205.91 255.255.255.0 Default Gateway: 10.77.205.1 Device IP: 10.77.202.84

Why are you using the F5 self IP as the gateway instead of 10.77.205.1?

thats what documents says... we need to give Internal Vlan IP address as a Node's default gateway..

What configuration related to this communication do you have on the F5 other than the self IP? (E.g.: SNAT, VIP, NAT, etc...)

VIP only configured... VIP IP: 10.77.205.234

    Thanks in advance.
