Virtual Server Cannot Access External Pool Members

I set up a virtual server with pool members that are all Google external ip addresses:

74.125.28.99 74.125.28.103 74.125.28.104 74.125.28.105 74.125.28.106 74.125.28.147

If I type any of these ip addresses into a web browser, Google Search is found. However, if I type in the virtual server ip address, 'Page Cannot Be Displayed'. I looked in statistics, and there is no sends/receives. I have tried to configure the virtual server with HTTP and HTTPS, no luck. Any thoughts?

My goal is to set up the Google CAPTCHA2: https://devcentral.f5.com/articles/google-recaptcha-v2-challenge-irule-integration-with-bigip-virtual-server-24369

  • Are you able to reach these Google external IP from f5(ping, telnet, wget)? What is the status of pool member on f5?

All of the health checks are green for the pool members. I can also cURL to any of the pool members form the F5 TMSH.

Which stats are you looking at?

Also, can you tell us what your NAT settings are for this Virtual Server?

Try setting the VS source address translation to automap and see if it works. If so then there is a routing problem affecting the return traffic.
