Administrative Controls over BIG IP Client Configuration

Hi,

I would like to know how to control the BIG IP Client on a workstation.

Here's the issue:

We have installed the BIG IP client on approximately 500 laptops. The default installation is "Auto Connect". This way when people are on our network the client does not attempt to connect. However once they move off our network, the client will sense that and establish a VPN connection. This works great.

Unfortunately, people like to mess with things. Even though they are told not to touch the client and told that the VPN will connect when necessary, they go into the client and change it from "Auto Connect" to "Connect". This results in them connecting to the VPN even while docked on our network. Then we chew up IP addresses on the BIG IP, and we get complaints about how the "Network is slow".

We have looked for ADMX files for Group Policy and other ways to disable the client from being messed with. Basically we want the option for "Connect" and "Disconnect" to be grayed out or not visible.

I have tried to look for ways to enforce this while building the client package but if it's there it's not obvious to me how to do it.

Is there a way to enforce the client to be set to "Auto Connect" always without having to touch each machine?

We are currently at version BIG-IP 12.1.0 Build 1.47.1447 Engineering Hotfix HF1

Thank you,

John
