TCP profile question

Question

We have web application and clients make API calls to Linux apache web server, In short its not browsable website, just bunch of API call which clients make to server, We have implemented F5 LTM 1600 but all VIP using default TCP profile. we never tried to touch that setting thought it can have bad impact. &nbsp;
But recently i read many folks suggesting using profiling for good performance, I have seen they are talking about WAN and LAN optimized profile so should i use WAN profile client side and LAN profile Server side right? &nbsp;
There is no clear documents on F5 so got confused about it, again my web application isn't browseable to not use how to test it?&nbsp;

Normally, an ADC like F5 sits closer to the servers than clients i.e., client &lt;&gt; F5 latency/distance is greater than F5 &lt;&gt; Server latency/distance. If this is the case in your set up (99% of time, this should be the case), then you can use WAN optimized on client side and LAN optimized on serverside. &nbsp;
I would recommend that you have some kind of valid metric that measures performance before and after the change. I would also recommend using OneConnect with a /32 netmask, if you are not already using it since you are just making (HTTP/S) API calls. &nbsp;
