F5 failover traffic

Hi

We have F5 machine connected to one backbone switch. We're going to configure another backbone switch in case the first one went down. How can we configure in the F5 two interfaces in case the first one went down the other one will start forwarding the traffic ?

  • Connect both F5 to upstream switches and then you need to connect two F5's together( don't use the system failover port). I would suggest use two failover cables to connect F5 together and make it a port channel trunk.

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks, Pankaj

  • Hi all,

I have the same problems with Juniper SW. Do you have any guides to config LACP on Juniper? ON F5 i had config mode Active, Long (Timeout) and Auto (Link Selection Policy) but i didn't work.

    Thanks All!
