Remotely monitor pool members

Hi I was wondering if there was a way to remotely monitor the status of the pool member. Recently we have had a need to monitor individual pool members but I am having a hard time finding out what I need to do this.

If you are asking how to monitor pool members from the BIG-IP, you will find instructions for doing this in the LTM Monitors Reference (link is to the reference for v13.0).

If that's not what you are asking about, please provide more details about the problem you want to solve.

What I am trying to do is set up a remote logging/monitoring server to tell me the status of pools members. Say if I have a pool with 4 nodes and 1 of them is down, I want to be able to know that without having to log into the F5 and look at the nodes. We ran into any issue when a routine upgrade of apache on some servers took some pool members down because the monitor we had in place was sending a get string that changed with the upgrade. So I want to be able to monitor this via solarwinds/zenoss etc.
