Migrate multiple platforms into one platform

Need some assistance with migration. Currently I have my LTM/ASM on a 3600, and my GTM on a 1600. I am moving both of them to a single 4000. I have successfully moved the LTM/ASM to the new 4000 by using the command load sys ucs filename.ucs no-license no-platform-check. I found that the platform-migrate would not work with the ASM. What I don't know, is how to get the GTM onto the platform. If I do the same command with it, then it will overwrite what I have already done, and that took a lot of work to get right. Any help in this would be greatly appreciated!

  • restoring an UCS would indeed overwrite the config, so that wouldn't be a good idea.

creating a SCF and importing that with merge might work. not 100% sure how much of GTM config is in the SCF, you can check that quite easily though.

if it doesn't work then you will need to work with the GTM config file: https://support.f5.com/csp/article/K13347
