Viprion Functionality

Hello,

Is is possible to configure blades within a Viprion chassis to run independent of each other as if each is its own vCMP host or does Viprion require that all blades mirror the primary blade?

Thanks!

  • Hello toneman172,

Adding another blade adds additional resources to the cluster , and all the blades within the same chassis are part of a single cluster . Cluster effectively is seen/managed as single BIG-IP.So you don't have the controls to manage a single blade as independent system with its own guest OSs.

Thanks Kolom, that's what I thought but wanted to verify there wasn't an alternative mode that the Viprion could run in.

      Thanks again,

To word it differently, I'd like to confirm that you can NOT configure Viprion blades within a chassis with their own independent configuration. My understanding is that each blade within a chassis contains the same configuration as the others.

      Thanks again!
