I will be replacing the battery on a Viprion 4400 Chassis. The chassis is running just fine at the moment, but we are getting a critical alert to replace battery as soon as possible.
I read the manual, and the battery seems hot swappable. I know it sounds easy but is there any issue that may arise that I should think about before moving forward?
Any insight is helpful. Thank you in advance!!!
CirrusAlthough I haven't physically swapped out the battery, I have worked with datacenters techs on such a battery swap and didn't see any issues. Just to be safe, always back up config on the device and outside the device. If possible, make sure the device is standby, assuming you have HA configured.
MVPi would for sure open a support ticket and have them guide you on this. sure it seems easy but i rather not touch vendor hardware without double checking with support on the exact procedure.
AltostratusYes. it is hot swappable.. open a proactive request with F5 vendor before scheduling a maintenance activity.
