How to replace the RMA device to prevent active/standby switchover

Hello everyone:

our customer has a pair of HA LTM, the system is 10.2.4 (HF13), there is a failover cable between the active and standby devices. The master device is hung up and the standby machine is now processing traffic. I would like to ask two questions:

  1. When the RMA device comes , it will affect the active/standby status after importing the original configuration. Is there any way to ensure that the active/standby switch does not occur(Because the active/standby device needs to be specified in the v10 system.), otherwise it will affect the transaction.
  2. The LTM system is 10.2.4 (HF13). I found that the f5 official website can not download the V10 system. Where can I download the V10 and the hotfix13?

  • Hi,

Force the device in offline mode before cabling it (so import configuration, set the device offline then cabling the device). Once the equipment is cabling you can swith device from offline.
