Deploy VE 13.1.1.2 VMware

Hello guys, I'm new in the F5 world and for study purposes, I'm deploying a VE appliance in the VMware, after doing the deploy I can't ping and access by web browser the F5. I set the correct VLAN in the interface but I noticed that the mgmt interface doesn't appear in the VMware, first I have configured the IP with the "config" command and the IP is placed in the mgmt interface. I had set up the IP also on the eth0 interface but without success. The question is, do I need to allow the access through the eth0 interface?

  • You have to allow tcp ports 22 and 443 in order to have access to the CLI and web GUI.

HERE is a good source of information.

Hope that helps! If it does please up-vote and select this answer, it'd be greatly appreciated!

Hi Dylan, yes, the 22 and 443 port are allowed. Another thing is that the LTM can't ping his gateway. Seems with a VLAN problem, but I checked and not found nothing wrong.

Yeah it could be a VLAN problem, but I would start with checking your interfaces on VMware. You may have to configure your interfaces in VMware if you haven't. Also, read through that article as there is a plethora of helpful information in it.
