HIGH Swap Memory Utilization

Dear Experts,

 

I have virtual BIG-IP running with 13.1.0.8 deployed in HA. Allocated memory is 16 GB, LTM, ASM & APM have been licensed and provisioned.

 

Noticed that Swap Memory utilization is almost 100%.

 

Verified with command "tmsh show /sys memory", noticed that almost all allocated Swap Memory is used.

 

Verified with command "free -m" and got the same result that almost all allocated Swap Memory is used.

 

However TMM memory utilization is normal.

 

Performed HA Failover, found that BIG-IP which took Active role because of HA Failover has high Swap Memory Utilization. Even the BIG-IP which was Active before HA Failover (now as passive) didn't release the memory for multiple weeks.

 

I restarted services on Passive BIG-IP and found swap memory utilization is low now.

 

Any input would be highly appreciated.
