Image URL redirect

Hi,

Apologies if I say the wrong things, I am still new to F5 and the terminology...

I think I am going about this all wrong...

We have an F5 Big IP and are using it as a reverse proxy. I have an internal site that has some links to images on our internet facing webserver.

These links are being re-written by the F5 so that the original url might be changes to portal.myserver.com/f5-w-blahblah$$/products/images

I have made an irule to redirect portal.myserver.com/f5-w-blahblah$$/products/images to which works for IE but not for Chrome / FF

I think I need a rewrite rule to ignore rewriting . i gave done much googling and read many things on this site but I would really like some advice as to the best way to accomplish what I need.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • The irules are not browser specific and instead of putting time in creating other irules, I would suggest to capture the logs and compare them (using different browsers, but make sure you clear the cookies and history settings before you repeat the tests, if you do it from one machine).

  • Agree with the above comments, Capture the log irrespective of browser and see if issue with irule. Is it possible to replace

    $$
    reserved character to valid character?
