Configuring a monitor's "Alias Service Port" will cause the monitor to check the alias port instead of the pool-member's configured port. Checking multiple ports requires multiple monitors, each with a different alias service port

  • Thank you. I was just trying to avoid an upcoming nightmare moving 600 + LB instances from Cisco CSM to 4 F5 clusters.

been there. just to ensure you know - when referring to a monitor, port '0' indicates that the F5 is monitoring the port on which the pool member is configured. If the pool member is 10.10.10.25:80, the monitor will connect to port 80. This allows for a single monitor to be applied to a pool with members of differing service ports
