One ASM policy to more virtual servers

Hello, Can we assign same ASM policy to two or more virtual servers? For examples, we have Microsoft share point server with few sites with similar content and we create virtual server for each site, so can we assign same ASM policy to all published sites(virtual servers)? If it is possible, can you please give us answer is it recommended by F5 or better solution is to create separate ASM policy for each virtual server?

    Yes, you can apply the same ASM policy to a number of Virtual servers.

     

    However, that means that all the virtuals do have the same policy.

     

    While this may make management easier, it may also make the policy monolithic, and more difficult to make changes.

     

    I'd suggest individual policies to allow for customization, but it is your call.

     

    On ASM version 13, you can layer ASM policies with a common base policy, and then individual customized policies for each virtual/customer/deployment on top.
