tcp finger print

Hello,

 

 

i tested www.msnbc.com in http://news.netcraft.com/

 

 

i can see which os running, it means i can see F5 hardware

 

 

how can i hide this information? do i need change some tcp parameters in tcp profile

 

 

whats your suggestions

    Usually this kind of software recognize the server in front based on specific criterias that is not into the TCP profile

     

     

    It may be interesting to do the test anyway but i don't think it will work

    To really be able to get around this type of fingerprinting you'd need to know what it is they're basing this identification on. Once you know what it is they're looking for that makes it register on their systems as a BIG-IP, you could then look to see if it's possible to obfuscate those parameters.

     

     

    Unfortunately, until you know what they're looking for, it's going to be pretty tough to work around.
