route domain

Hi All,

Wanted to understand the route domain placement . confused with new design and architecture. actually i am going to migrate my existing setup with multiple route domain but without any change in bigip ltm and gtm configuration. currently one bigip is partitioned with two guests , one guest is configured as LTM and GTM for internet facing applications and one guest has LTM which is for internal server zone. Now as per new architecture, will re-provision the guests , one would be at perimeter i.e. for GTM and AFM and another would be at internal side with LTM and GTM. in second guest we will also create 2 routing domain. one route domain will take care the intranet (multiple branch offices are connected directly to data centre) traffic and second routing domain will be for DMZ side applications and traffic.

Now is that possible to migrate the existing config from two different Bigip LTM and GTM to one single guest which is having both modules but would be on different route domain. if yes then what could be the interface details i mean ingress and egress or single interface will take care the traffic?

  • some pictures please, im not totally seeing what you want to do.

in any case you will have to make modifications if you introduce route domains, you can't just copy paste the config and expect it to work.
