Clustering iWorkflow

hi, i have a problem with putting 3 iworkflow devices in Cluster. The devices are clean, with no data on. Every i tried to fullfill the " ip, admin user , password " fields it shows me a prompt : "You must update the device's framework before you can manage it". Any suggestions?

Have you provided the credentials as requested? When creating the cluster you should be prompted for the IP address of the cluster member you want to add, the admin user name and password. Once you have entered these credentials, if it warns you that the framework will be updated I would still continue. It does seem odd that three new installs based on the same version would generate this message but if they are the same version I would be surprised to see an actual update occur. Continue though and post an update if there are issues.

this is the situation. We have 3 VM where we installed : iWorkflow-2.3.0.0.0.10791 Hotfix-iWorkflow-2.3.0.0.2.10791-ENG

this is all the info, hope it is clear.

I assume there must be a reason you don't want to sync iWorkflow using the mgmt interface but this is I believe the recommended configuration. If you want to manage the data traffic on another network that should work, meaning discovering and pushing services to BIG-IP devices but use the mgmt network to support the iWorkflow communications. So, check the "use management network for HA peer communications" and I suspect this will resolve your cluster creation issue.

  • Hi Angus, thnx for replying.

We installed a HF over 2.3.0 because the Radius authentication was not possible. After installing the HF Radius is ok, but we can't cluster. Today i downgrade the devices release using the ISO of the stardard version(iwrokflow 2.3.0) without HF and the clustering worked.

With this HF provided from F5 we got Radius authentication but we lost Clustering.

Rest framework of starndard iso is: f5-rest-java-libs-13.1.0-0.0.6087.i686

    with HF : f5-rest-java-libs-13.1.0-0.0.6088.i686

    Any idea about it? :)

    Hi Pirusti,

I think at this point you should open up a ticket with support as it sounds like you may have found an issue.
