The topics of exam 101 have been update, the examples in the topic to be generic, for example "Define ADC application objects"... according to your experience for you what does it refer to? (i think that nodes, pool, vs, persistence, irule, modules, method load balance).
My other question is ... is the certification guide of Eric Mitchell still useful for the exam?

MVPi think it is a little higher level even, look at the examples
Define load balancing including intelligent load balancing and server selection
Explain features of an application delivery controller
Explain benefits of an application delivery controller
you need to have an idea what an ADC can do, so load balance, but also provide high availability, look at requests to steer traffic, ...
as for the study guide, look at the old blue print and check what they still cover.
