DNS notify for express zone

Hi, Just looking for some tips on how to get dns notify from a microsoft server to work with an f5 express zone.

 

The express zone is set to use a virtual server with udp+tcp with a automap back to the microsoft dns server.

 

intial zone transfer works fine with the MS server set to allow zone transfers to the self ip.

 

Just can't seem to get notify to work, I assume on the MS side i have to set the notify to the self ip as well.

 

Not really sure what allow notify from field has to be set to in the express zone and i suspect there will be something else i will have to configure to get the notify into the f5 and passed to the express zone, just not sure what.

    On the MS side you set it to send NOTIFYs to the IP-address of the virtual server, and in the DNS Express Zone you have to ensure you have set Notify Action to Consume and that the IP-address of the MS server (or NAT address, if that is the case) is in the Allow NOTIFY From field.
