Network failover unicast

We have recently faced one issue, where the switch connected to active LTM crashed, and all the virtual servers became unreachable. But the issue is LB's didn't failed over automatically even when we have configured Network failover unicast for management and HA interfaces. Does is because we haven't configured any self-ip under network failover unicast?? any suggestions..

  • TMOS does not failover if you did not define what conditions must be met:

    • HA group
    • one HA failsafe method (VLAN Failsafe, Gateway Failsafe, ...)
  • We have not configured any failsafe method or any HA group. But just added Network failover unicast with management and HA IP's. In order to have successful failover in any outage, should vlan failsafe feature is sufficient?
