Can't ping floating ip from internal network

Hi, we've a new LTM cluster configured. Found that from nodes in internal VLAN, the self IP of both LTM on External VLAN can be ping. However, they can't ping the floating virtual IP on External VLAN.

I wonder if we've set something wrong. Would anyone please help?

Thanks a lot. Regards

  • Hello,

ICMP traffic to the self-IP address is not affected by the port lockdown list and is implicitly allowed in all cases. Did you check netmask and VLAN ? Do you have firewall between nodes and F5?

In which mode you are using a box? Routed or One-armed mode. this may be reason.
