Pls help: High availability setup problem

Hi all,

We're using 2 BIG-IP 6400 running version 9.4.7 320.1. There are several Sun V440 (Solaris 9) connecting to the 2 BIG-IP. For redundancy, we run Sun Trunking software to trunk 2 NICs on the Sun machine using a MAC address hashing policy to load balance outgoing traffic. One NIC connects to one BIG-IP. The 2 BIG-IPs are connected to each other using a cross-wire cable (to make the 2 VLANs virtually a single VLAN).

Basically it works, but note that sometimes packets are dropped, either in the cross-wire connecting ports, or the ports connecting to NICs of the Sun machines.

I wonder if we shouldn't connect trunked NICs in this way. Would anyone please help?

Thanks a lot.
