Wiki: iRules API




An iRule event triggered when the system receives a DIAMETER message. The context of this event shifts based on where the message originated.

  • If the client sent the message, DIAMETER_INGRESS is a clientside event
  • If the server sent the message, DIAMETER_INGRESS is a serverside event

Note: this event does not apply to CER/CEA messages. If handling these messages is required, you'll need to perform a binary scan to modify AVPs.

  • DIAMETER::message - returns the whole Diameter message as a TCL string object.
  • DIAMETER::persist - returns the persistence key being used for the current message
  • DIAMETER::retry - tries to send the Diameter message contained in the binary array "binary_message"
  • DIAMETER::state - returns the current state of the Diameter peer's connection
