Can not load UCS file no-license no-platform-check

Dear all;

i want to load an UCS file from a F5 ro another F5 with no-license no-platform-check. But when i used conmand "load sys ucs F5_20_11_2012.ucs no-license no-platform-check" , i got an error.

I had restored config default before i loaded an UCS file with no-license no-platform-check.

This is a message error "WARNING: There were one or more errors detected during installation.

Check the error messages and take the proper actions if needed.

ERROR: UCS installation failed."

Please help me.

Thanks a lot.

  • what is purpose of load UCS file with no-license and no-platform-check ?

    i always used when restoring customer ucs to my lab unit for testing. so, i do not need to use the same platform and certainly no issue about license.

  • If my license enable only LTM but my customer have config WA + LTM , Is it a problem to load config?

    Nitass: Is there a similar facility (noplatform option), for 10.x? I'm having problems installing a UCS from a 3400 (10.2.3) onto 10.2.3 VE. A "b load" returns no errors, however, only the base config objects (VLANS, IPs), get loaded and a reboot yields an "INOPERATIVE" VE device.

    Thanks in advance!

  • Is there a similar facility (noplatform option), for 10.x?i am not sure but i remember 10.x does not check platform. anyway, there is "rma" option to exclude license file.

    root@ve10(Active)(tmos) load sys ucs test.ucs ?
    Options:
      rma Load full configuration from a UCS file except license file. This
                  command mostly is for RMA use.

    Thank you, nitass! I believe the problem I had was the result of trying to install a "support ucs" (ie one without ssl keys), onto the box. Thanks for the tip about excluding the license under 10.x!
