Iruler hangs on/after connect

Hi,

 

 

I was setting up a virtual edition as a LAB-box.

 

Knowing the iruler on my ancient win2K box couldn't be updated past iruler version 10.1.0, I tried installing iruler 11.1 on my laptop running vista (32b).

 

Trying to connect to the bigip-ve, I first got an error as mentioned here in the fora ( Invalid connection information ) which was quicly solved/avoided by not saving the config. . . at least it looked that way.

 

I can connect to my production 3600 boxes running v10.1 without a problem using the v 11 iruler.

 

I can connect to the bigip VE 11 with my old v10 Iruler but i asume it will be lacking functionality. ( ie only offline and local-traffic shown in left pane not configuration)

 

 

While connecting the iruler v11 to the v11 ltm-ve the application hangs with the application-statusbar stating "disconnected. click the connect button" and the statusbar of right pane stating "connected to 192.168..."

 

 

After waiting a very very long time I get an error message (pasted below without the assemblies) and the left pane has 3 nodes ( configuration , local traffic & offline ) but no rules show up.
