pool members can't connect to their own Virtual Server

I have a load balanced pool of web servers that are part of a VIP on the f5, and there is an application on the web servers that tries to connect to the VIP that they are a member of.

 

 

I can ping the VIP but anytime i try to access the acutal website using the VIP it times out as if i am loosing traffic. going through localhost on each web server is just fine so i know the website is working.

 

 

 

Plus this is in production so i am kinda limited in what troubleshooting steps i can take.

 

 

 

any help is appreciated.

    Jay, I'd start a new thread on this since this topic is from 3 years ago and on a totally different version.

    Hi, Did you managed to get this problem sorted, I'm having the same issue and even with SNAT. could you please provide the steps on how you would get around this issue. Thanks,

    I've just answered my own question, I overlooked the http VS. Just needed to set SNAT on the http VS in question.

    Hello what SNAT did you place is it automap or its self IP?

    Hi,

     

    I have the same issue when sometimes (every 2 days) the virtual server stops sending traffic to the pool and the only thing that fixes it is enable/disable the virtual server and connecting it to a different pool.

     

    I use version BIG-IP 10.2.2 Build 763.3 Final.

     

    I read this post and my issue looks very similar.

     

    Any ideas what to try next?
