VIP Deletion with Merge File

I use Merge Files all the time to add and even modify existing VIP's and Pools, but I've never thought of using an iRule to Delete VIP's from the bigip.conf.

 

 

I've done some searching on the web and on DevCentral, but haven't found any detailed information source on using merge files. Does anyone know how to Delete an entire VIP with a Merge File?
