i have a 6400 machine that suddenly stopped working . the machine is part of HA cluster. the os is stuck on some line i don't remember . i do not have support for this machine because i have bought a new ones that will replace this machines in few months.

i have changed hard disk ,download big-ip version 10.2.4 iso and Create a bootable USB thumb drive with mkdisk as written here: https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/13000/100/sol13164.html

and then start installation as written here: https://support.f5.com/kb/en-us/solutions/public/10000/800/sol10819.html

the installation begins but everytime the os come to this line:(after asking me to choose vt100)

info:adding hda.dat.share.1.size 31457280

the machine reset her self.

what is wrong? how can i know what is the problem? is there any diagnostic tool? any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Have you verified your thumbdrive? I have seen this behavior before when the image on the thumbdrive is not complete or corrupt.
