Ip address resolution.

Hey everyone, I'm new to the f5 world, and i'm hoping that someone can help me out. I currently have setup where i have a virtual ip 192.168.1.2 --> point's to my LAMP stack pool. The public ip from the watchguard firewall gets translated to the 192.168.1.2 address to the external side of the f5 and then goes to the pool 10.0.1.66- 70. there is a snat setup 192.168.1.99 to all, that seems to be what all the ip addresses in my apache log are saying, is there a way to resolve the real identifying ip coming in? I hope i made sense... I appericiate greatly any help/advice.

  • For HTTP traffic, there's a header called "X-Forwarded"For" which allows you to insert the original IP and on the apache side, you can look for that header.
