Upgrade HA pair from 10.0.0 to 10.2.1

Hi all,

 

 

We have an HA pair that I need to upgrade from 10.0.0 to 10.2.1

 

 

Done the following and results are not as expected:

 

 

1. Re-activated licenses on both units - successful

 

2. Change HA Redundancy State Pref to "None" for both units - successful

 

3. Disable all network ports connected to the "Standby" unit (execpt the mgmt ports). In essence two separate units, one (the "Standby") isolated from the network. - successful

 

 

Following work done on "Standby"unit only:

 

 

4. Upload and install 10.2.1.297 iso via GUI, including md5. - successful

 

5. Do md5sum on iso and check against md5 - all ok

 

6. Install image in 5. above. - successful

 

7. Boot to image installed in 6. above - successful

 

8. do bigpipe load on unit. No errrors. Config shows in bigip.conf file - PROBLEM

 

 

Now here is the problem:

 

 

None of the config shows in the GUI. The newly booted "Standby" unit loads the new image, but the config doesn't seem to show in the GUI.

 

 

I also cannot reload a previous ucs. THis is the error i get when loading a previous ucs:

After the above issue was discovered I rolled back to the previous verison, and re-instituted the HA pair.
