LTM Software/Config Downgrade 11.3 to 11.2.1

Hi all,

Just wondering if it's possilbe to downgrade an LTM with SW-Version 11.3 to 11.2.1 but keep the current configuration from 11.3?

I tested by creating a new software volume (3600 Platfrom) HD1.4 with version 11.2.1 but unfortunately the whole configuration from 11.3 was lost...(except MGMT-Port IP!)

Is there a simple way to downgrade from 11.3 to 11.2.1 and keep the current configuration?

Thanks a lot for your feedback

Regards

Lukas

  • It should be possible. Can you trying copying the config between partitions using this;

    cpcfg --source=HD1.x HD1.x.

  • :-(

    [root@localhost:Active] config cpcfg --source=HD1.2 HD1.3

    info: New version (11.2.1) is not >= originating version (11.3.0); configuration is not compatible.

    configuration roll-forward desired but not compatible.

    [root@localhost:Active] config

  • i think you may be able to import part of configuration using scf. it is not full configuration but i think it is better than configuring from scratch.

  • Hi Nitass,

    Thanks for your answer.

    I tested with scf and it looks good so far. I just had to remove some 11.3 statements in the file which are not supported in 11.2.1 of course. But that's excellent! :-)

    Thanks again
