How secure with Web FirePass Administrative Console

Hi, I am evaluating FirePass 4000 and notice that Web FirePass Administrative Console is available to the public.

I was just wondering...

1) what is the consequences if someone can brute force into the administrative controls? To my knowledge it is web base and I believe there is a potential to run scripts to brute force into the administrative authentication.

2) Similarly, there is also possibility that brute force could be attempted on users login.

  • This looks like a question for F5 Product Technical Support. DevCentral is here to assist with iControl (the management programming APIs) and iRules (the internal scripting language) for our products. This forum in particular is for assistence in developing client applications with the FirePass client API.

If you give Tech Support I'm sure they can get you the information you need.
