x-Forwarded-For

Hi All,

&nbsp; i've a problem with X-Forwarded-for iRule. 
&nbsp; In effects it inserts the Http Header but the address that is introduced on the Web Server is the address of the big-ip interface on the servers Vlan 
&nbsp;  
&nbsp; Do you have an idea? 
&nbsp;  
&nbsp; BR

&nbsp;  
&nbsp; Follows the iRule 
&nbsp;  
&nbsp; when HTTP_REQUEST { 
&nbsp; HTTP::header insert X-Forwarded-For [IP::remote_addr] 
&nbsp; } 
&nbsp;  
&nbsp;

Try changing the IP::remote_addr portion to IP::client_addr.

Configuring an iRule to insert an HTTP header with the original client IP address will not change the source IP address that LTM uses on requests sent to the pool.  You can configure the web server to log the XFF value as described in SOL4816 (Click here).
