f5 VMware MGMT Plugin Decommissioned?

Does anyone know what happened to the VMware Management Plugin? I'm looking forward to implementing it in my environment to help me manage my active/standby 1600's. It seems pretty useful, however, for the last several weeks the link to download it has been broken. vSphere Plugin on DevCentral This is the link listed in the deployment guide as well.

  • Yes indeed it has been removed. We never updated it beyond vSphere 4, while it could be made to work on 4.1 and 5 it was less than ideal. If you need similar functionality in an alternative package I would suggest our vCO plug-in instead. Email vco@f5.com to get it.

Thanks for the suggestion. They should put an announcement in place of the download instead of letting it 404.
  • Yes I think we're going to go one further and remove all references to it.

    There's a blog post about the plug-in here: https://devcentral.f5.com/articles/automating-application-delivery-with-big-ip-and-vmware-vcenter-orchestrator
