3 GTM configuration

Hi.

 

Just wondering if it is possible to have 3 GTMs that only share selected information with each other about a particular zones. Let me give you an example.

 

  • I have 3 GTMs, one at Data Center A, Data Center B, and Data Centre C respectively.
  • In Data Center A and B, there are applications x.acme.tld and y.acme.tld
  • In Data Center B and C, there are applications y.acme.tld and z.acme.tld

  • w.acme.tld is available in Data Centers A, B, and C.

     

  • Is it possible to share configuration of x.acme.tld and y.acme.tld between the GTM at Data Center A and B only?

     

  • Is it possible to share configuration of y.acme.tld and z.acme.tld between the GTM at Data Center B and C only?
  • Is it possible to share w.acme.tld to the GTM in all 3 data centres?

    Hi Mike,

     

    I don't believe so (i could be wrong though). Once a sync group is configured, the GTM configuration is equal on all participating GTM's.

     

    The only option may be to configure a DNS express front end to a specific wide ip on the devices that you want to have different as these are localised on the GTM's. May not be able to achieve what you are expecting though.

      Hi Josh, I guess DNS Express not useful option here. DNS express provides the ability for a BIG-IP® system to act as a high-speed, authoritative secondary DNS server.
